Newport Beach, Calif. – June 4, 2026 – Clean Energy Fuels Corp. (NASDAQ: CLNE) has announced it has completed its eighth dairy renewable natural gas (RNG) production facility in Jerome, Idaho – one of the largest single-site dairies and RNG facilities in North America. East Valley Cattle has now begun producing and injecting negative carbon-intensity RNG into the interstate pipeline which will be used as clean fuel for transportation fleets across the country.

Home to over 35,000 cows, the East Valley RNG facility has six anaerobic digesters which are designed to capture methane from cow manure, preventing harmful emissions from entering the atmosphere.

The facility can take in over 5 million gallons of manure each day using a municipality-scale wastewater treatment system and advanced manure separation technology to process and clean the manure. This unique approach ensures maximum efficiency and sustainability for a dairy of this size before moving to the anaerobic digestion process which produces clean, pipeline-quality RNG. The byproducts are then reused onsite to support farm operations, providing bedding for livestock and crop fertilizer.

“This is probably the most ambitious project we’ve taken on – the scale, the technology, and the integration of systems are unmatched and quite frankly, extremely impressive,” said Will Flanagan, Vice President of Strategic Development at Clean Energy. “We’re capturing methane, cleaning it up and injecting it on-site while replacing natural gas that would have been of fossil origin. It’s a double offset renewable energy, and we are proud to be a part of it.”

In the first quarter of 2026, the East Valley Dairy project recognized its first revenue, and the RNG produced received full approval from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to begin generating Renewable Identification Numbers (RINs) under the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) program and from the California Air Resources Board (CARB) to generate California Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) credits. This project has been financed through CE bp Renew Co, Clean Energy’s joint venture with bp.

Agriculture accounts for nearly 10 percent of U.S. GHG emissions and the transportation sector accounts for another 28%, according to the EPA. Capturing methane from farm waste lowers these emissions. RNG, produced by that captured methane and used as a transportation fuel, significantly lowers GHG emissions on a lifecycle basis when compared to diesel. This allows RNG to be one of the only fuels to receive a negative carbon-intensity score based on the reduction of emissions at the source and at the vehicle and costs significantly less than diesel at the pump.

Newport Beach, Calif. – May 4, 2026 – Clean Energy Fuels Corp. (NASDAQ: CLNE), the largest provider of the cleanest fuel for the transportation market, announced today at the Advanced Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo the expansion of its renewable natural gas (RNG) station network with six new stations in operation. The stations are strategically located along major freight transportation routes across the United States.

The new locations in California, New Jersey, Oklahoma, Michigan and Washington expand access to RNG nationwide, allowing Clean Energy to meet growing demand from heavy-duty truck fleets seeking immediate fuel cost savings and significant emissions reductions by powering their trucks with clean-burning RNG.

These station openings also support the accelerating adoption of Cummins’ X15N 15-liter natural gas engine, a gamechanger in engine technology which allows long-haul and heavy-duty fleets to run smoothly, efficiently, and reliably on RNG. RNG is a negative carbon-intensity fuel that can help carriers and their shipper customers address Scope 3 emissions targets. All the stations are easily accessible to tractors pulling trailers and are equipped with multiple fast-fill fueling dispensers.

“With diesel prices remaining very high and volatile, it’s perfect timing to expand our offering of a price-stable, low-cost fuel for fleets who want to cut their carbon emissions, but do it affordably,” said Chad Lindholm, SVP at Clean Energy. “With the addition of these new RNG stations in key freight corridors, and with the Cummins X15N now available from multiple OEMs, fleets won’t have to think twice about adopting the only viable alternative today.”

These new and existing stations further strengthen Clean Energy’s extensive network of over 600 fueling locations across North America serving transit, refuse, municipality, airport operations, and trucking fleets. The six recently opened stations are located near distribution centers and provide easy access points to major corridors. They include:

Diesel markets are once again reminding fleets how exposed they are to global events beyond their control. Recent geopolitical conflict has driven sharp diesel price spikes, creating immediate cost pressure for carriers and volatility that is difficult—if not impossible—to manage through traditional fuel strategies.

Renewable natural gas (RNG) offers a fundamentally different fuel equation. Produced domestically from renewable feedstocks such as landfills, dairies, and wastewater facilities, RNG pricing is not tied to global oil markets. The result is a fuel that is both price-stable and consistently cheaper than diesel—helping carriers protect margins while competing for freight with sustainability-focused shippers.

This is not a future technology or a pilot program. RNG is a proven, American‑made fuel that fleets can buy and use today—without waiting for charging infrastructure, grid upgrades, or power availability. Thousands of Class-8 trucks across the U.S. are already running on RNG, delivering diesel‑like performance with a fuel advantage that holds up when oil prices don’t.

Why RNG Is Showing Up in Freight Decisions

For many carriers, sustainability isn’t the primary driver—business is. But business is increasingly shaped by shipper expectations, particularly as more companies work to decarbonize their supply chains. Transportation is a significant part of Scope 3 emissions, and that pressure is now showing up in procurement conversations and RFPs.

RNG gives fleets a way to respond without taking on operational risk. Carriers running RNG-powered trucks can offer shippers a credible, scalable path to lower transportation emissions —without changing lanes, redesigning networks, or compromising service. When price and performance are comparable, RNG capability can be a meaningful differentiator in competitive bids.

As a result, companies across industries—including packaging and paper, food and beverage, industrial manufacturing, retail, and home furnishings—are not just expressing interest in lower-carbon freight; they are awarding business to carriers operating RNG trucks as part of their supply-chain decarbonization strategies.

Why RNG Counts in Shipper Sustainability Programs

RNG is produced by capturing methane from organic waste sources such as landfills, dairies, and wastewater treatment facilities—methane that would otherwise be released into the atmosphere. That methane is upgraded into vehicle fuel and used to displace diesel in heavy-duty trucking.

Because RNG avoids methane emissions upstream while replacing fossil fuel downstream, it delivers a significantly lower carbon footprint on a lifecycle basis. For carriers, this matters because RNG is increasingly recognized by shippers as a measurable biofuel solution that reduces Scope 3 emissions—without changing how freight moves.

Total Cost of Ownership That Competes—and Wins—Against Diesel

RNG trucks typically carry a higher upfront purchase price than diesel. That incremental cost, however, is offset through lower fuel costs, often within the first few years of operation depending on mileage and duty cycle. After payback, fleets benefit from ongoing fuel savings for the remaining life of the truck.

Historically, RNG fuel pricing has been lower and more stable than diesel, reducing exposure to volatility and improving cost predictability—particularly on high-mileage, repeatable routes.

Nationwide Fueling, Available Today

Unlike other alternative fuels that depend on future infrastructure development, RNG is available now.

Across the U.S., hundreds of public-access Class-8 RNG fueling stations are strategically located along major corridors and in key freight markets. This allows fleets to deploy RNG trucks without reengineering routes, sacrificing dispatch flexibility, or investing in private fueling infrastructure.

For fleets, that means RNG can be integrated into existing operations with minimal disruption—fueling where they already run freight.

Diesel-Like Performance with the Cummins X15N

Performance parity is non-negotiable in trucking—and RNG delivers. The Cummins X15N natural gas engine was designed for heavy-duty and long-haul applications, delivering up to 500 horsepower and up to 1,850 lb-ft of torque, with range and drivability suited for real-world operations.

Built in the U.S. by Cummins and available from Peterbilt, Kenworth, and Freightliner, the X15N allows fleets to spec RNG trucks through familiar OEMs, dealer networks, and service channels.

A Quieter, More Comfortable Cab for Drivers

Driver recruitment and retention remain persistent challenges for fleets. RNG trucks offer a practical advantage that matters on the road: strong driver acceptance.

Natural gas engines are significantly quieter than diesel, reducing cab noise and fatigue over long shifts. For many drivers, the overall experience is simply more comfortable. As fleets put RNG trucks into service, reports of driver resistance are low—and in many cases, drivers prefer natural gas equipment once they’ve spent time behind the wheel.

The Bottom Line for Trucking Companies

In a moment when diesel prices can spike due to global instability, RNG stands out as a stable, domestic, and cost‑effective alternative. It delivers predictable fuel costs, proven performance, nationwide availability, and a tangible advantage with shippers focused on Scope 3 emissions—available now, with no waiting and no operational disruption.

Renewable natural gas offers carriers:

Competitive TCO and improved fuel-cost predictability

Diesel-like performance from Cummins and leading OEMs

Public-access fueling across major freight corridors

A quieter, more comfortable driver experience

A tangible edge with shippers focused on Scope 3 emissions

RNG isn’t about chasing sustainability trends. It’s a practical, proven solution that strengthens fleet economics—while helping carriers stay competitive for the long haul.

Newport Beach, Calif. – March 4, 2026 – Clean Energy Fuels Corp. (NASDAQ: CLNE), the largest provider of the cleanest fuel for the transportation market, has announced a slew of deals with trucking, refuse, and transit fleets nationwide. The agreements span renewable natural gas (RNG) fueling infrastructure and RNG supply, representing the continued growth of clean fuel adoption across multiple sectors.

“2025 was a rough year for other alternatives that didn’t live up to the hype. But fleets continue to seek proven solutions to meet sustainability targets and they’re finding that the RNG metrics deliver on multiple fronts – it’s clean, affordable, has diesel-like capability, is domestically produced, and there is a robust fueling infrastructure already in place,” said Chad Lindholm, senior vice president at Clean Energy. “These new agreements that we’re announcing today reflect that growing recognition across diverse fleet applications.”

Clean Energy has extended its partnership with Ecology Transportation Services, one of Southern California’s largest adopters of RNG for trucking. The agreement will supply Ecology’s fleet of 150 RNG vehicles with an estimated 2.1 million gallons of RNG annually. The trucks will fuel at Clean Energy stations across California, Arizona, and Nevada.

Clean Energy’s long-term partner Recology, one of the largest waste haulers in the western U.S., is expanding its commitment to RNG with upgrades to its fueling station in Seattle, and a newly completed station in Snohomish, WA. Clean Energy will provide operations and maintenance services for both sites supporting Recology’s growth in the greater Seattle region. Clean Energy continues to partner with WM, providing operations and maintenance services for more than 85 WM RNG stations across the U.S. and Canada, helping to keep 8,000 of WM’s RNG-powered refuse trucks on the road.

Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) has extended its relationship with Clean Energy, awarding a new operations and maintenance contract to support its natural gas bus fleet. The agreement covers five million gallons of fuel to support over 400 buses which will serve the local community. Clean Energy has provided services for WMATA stations for over a decade, and the transit agency recently commissioned two new natural gas stations to serve its fleet.

Clean Energy has signed an operations and maintenance agreement with ABM Facility Services to maintain three transit bus fueling stations for the City of Phoenix. Clean Energy has maintained the sites since 2016 which supply RNG to 335 natural gas buses, dispensing approximately 4.7 million gallons of fuel annually.

Clean Energy will begin providing RNG to 78 Arlington Transit (ART) buses in Virgina, totaling approximately 750,000 gallons annually. ART selected Clean Energy through a competitive process for RNG supply to support its GHG emissions reduction goals. Clean Energy will continue to provide repair and maintenance services to ART.

The City of Scottsdale, AZ, has extended its maintenance contract with Clean Energy to continue supporting 49 of its refuse vehicles with approximately 441,000 gallons of fuel each year. The city has long utilized natural gas vehicles for its waste operations, demonstrating its commitment to cleaner municipal services.

Clean Energy will continue to operate and maintain Nashville International Airport’s natural gas station under a new agreement to provide 63 shuttle buses and fleet vehicles with approximately 350,000 gallons of fuel annually. Since designing and building their fueling site in 2016, Clean Energy has helped the airport move towards cleaner ground transportation aligned with the airport’s sustainability goals.

The City of Fort Smith in Arkansas, has signed an RNG supply agreement to fuel its refuse trucks. Clean Energy built the city’s RNG station in 2021 and continues to maintain the site since commissioning.

According to the EPA, agriculture accounts for nearly 10 percent of U.S. GHG emissions, and the transportation sector accounts for another 28%. Capturing waste methane from farms and turning it into a transportation fuel reduces emissions in both industries. RNG is one of the only fuels to receive a negative carbon-intensity rating, significantly lowering GHG emissions on a lifecycle basis when compared to diesel, and it costs significantly less than diesel at the pump.

Newport Beach, Calif. and Dimmitt, Texas – December 1, 2025 – Clean Energy Fuels Corp. (NASDAQ: CLNE) has announced it has successfully completed its renewable natural gas (RNG) facility located at South Fork Dairy in Dimmitt, Texas. The facility is now producing pipeline-quality RNG and has begun injecting into the interstate natural gas pipeline.

Now one of the largest RNG production plants in the country, South Fork is home to a herd of 16,000 dairy cows and has the capability to produce approximately 2.6 million gallons of low-carbon RNG annually. The facility will process up to 300,000 gallons of dairy manure each day utilizing the four anaerobic digesters on-site, along with manure processing and advanced gas conversion equipment. The RNG produced is injected directly into an on-site gas line. Financed entirely by Clean Energy, the project broke ground in July 2024 and totaled $85 million. Clean Energy will receive 100 percent of the RNG fuel produced at South Fork Dairy.

“The requirements to reach production and injecting milestones were extremely stringent and we are incredibly proud of the team for getting our seventh RNG facility online, on time and on budget. It’s no small feat,” said Clay Corbus SVP at Clean Energy. “The completion of the project at South Fork is particularly special because not only is it a major step forward in building our low-carbon RNG supply to ensure we have the volumes needed to meet the growing fleet demand, but we were able to work side-by-side with such a remarkable dairyman in Frank Brand.”

“Partnering with Clean Energy to build an RNG facility on the dairy has been a success for us,” said Frank Brand, owner of South Fork Dairy. “We’re processing our manure into useful bedding and producing clean, useful fuel for vehicles – it’s pretty amazing stuff. Being a part of something so circular that allows the dairy to reduce its emissions while providing an additional income stream is an added bonus.”

During construction, the project temporarily paused due to a fire that impacted the dairy. South Fork’s owner, Frank Brand, and his team rebuilt the dairy working closely with Clean Energy to navigate this. Today, both the dairy and the RNG facility are fully restored and operating – an outcome that is testament to the determination of the South Fork and Clean Energy teams.

The RNG produced at South Fork Dairy has received full approval from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to begin generating Renewable Identification Numbers (RINs) under the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) program. Clean Energy also expects to generate California Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) credits in Q1, 2026. Clean Energy continues to expand its fueling network nationwide with over 600 stations RNG is delivered to.

T Diamond Bar and Montrose Environmental worked closely with the Clean Energy team to complete South Fork facility.

Newport Beach, Calif., October 30, 2025 – Clean Energy Fuels Corp. (NASDAQ: CLNE), the largest provider of the cleanest fuel for the transportation market, has announced a series of new agreements with customers across the country expanding their use of ultraclean, affordable renewable natural gas (RNG). The company also grew its customer base for bulk liquefied natural gas (LNG), including multiple space companies.

These new agreements, which include RNG, operations and maintenance, as well as construction of fueling infrastructure, reflect the continued momentum of RNG adoption in multiple transportation markets, as fleets seek immediate and cost-effective solutions to reduce emissions.

“As more fleets look to decarbonize their operations, RNG continues to stand out as a proven, economical and scalable solution that is ready now,” said Chad Lindholm, senior vice president at Clean Energy. “These new agreements demonstrate the versatility of RNG across industries and the growing demand for a clean fuel alternative that delivers on sustainability without compromising performance at a significant discount to diesel.”

Clean Energy has signed a fueling agreement with milk cooperative, United Dairymen of Arizona. The deal will supply 200,000 gallons of RNG to five different fleets operating natural gas trucks. Many of the trucks are equipped with the new Cummins X15N engine and haul dairy products. United Dairymen has played a critical role in the deployment of X15N-powered RNG trucks and continues to be a leader in supporting sustainable trucking and cleaner alternative fuels like RNG.

Paper Transport has signed RNG fueling agreements with Clean Energy, accounting for approximately 250,000 gallons of RNG annually to fuel a dozen new trucks. Long-time advocates of RNG’s ability to reduce carbon emissions, Paper Transport hauls goods for sustainability-focused, well-known brands nationwide and has been a Clean Energy partner for over 10 years. Clean Energy provides fuel for nearly 50 Paper Transport trucks across nine states.

Giant Oil, a fueling station operator and petroleum products vendor, has signed an RNG supply agreement with Clean Energy for its station in Cheswick, Pennsylvania. The deal will provide approximately 180,000 gallons of RNG annually. Pitt-Ohio is one of Giant Oil’s main customers fueling at the site.

Birkmire Trucking, a long-time natural gas user operating in New York and Pennsylvania, has signed an RNG supply deal with Clean Energy for its private fueling station. The agreement will fuel 15 vehicles with an anticipated 100,000 gallons of RNG annually.

Newport Beach, Calif. – October 22, 2025 – Clean Energy Fuels Corp. (NASDAQ: CLNE), the largest provider of renewable natural gas (RNG) for the transportation industry, has announced the launch of its second heavy-duty truck demo program, featuring the 2026 Freightliner Cascadia Gen 5 day cab equipped with the Cummins X15N natural gas engine.

The new truck will be showcased at the American Trucking Associations’ Management Conference & Exhibition (ATA MCE) in San Diego from October 25–28, offering attendees an exclusive preview before the program launches with its debut fleet partner.

This new program builds on the success of Clean Energy’s first Peterbilt X15N demo truck program which was launched last year. The first demo truck has been praised by fleets who have operated it for the engine’s smooth handling through different terrains, impressive torque, per gallon savings running on RNG, and fuel efficiency, reinforcing the X15N’s potential to reshape the future of low-carbon heavy-duty trucking.

“Through one of the most tumultuous times in the history of the freight industry with evolving regulatory changes, impacts of tariffs, and overall economic uncertainty, the X15N/RNG solution has come out a clear winner for both carriers and shippers,” said Chad Lindholm, senior vice president at Clean Energy. “The Cummins X15N truly is a game-changer, providing equivalent power and torque as its diesel equivalent, yet allowing fleets to claim significant carbon and NOx emission reductions with a fuel that is priced at a big discount to diesel. The reason we have a waiting list to test our demo trucks is because despite regulatory easing, operators of fleets and their customers continue to want to have the cleanest trucks. Viable electric and fuel cell options are years and years from becoming an affordable reality. RNG is the only solution that is here today, affordable, and clean.”

Clean Energy’s demo truck program will give fleets across the country the opportunity to experience first-hand the capabilities of the Freightliner Cascadia Gen 5 equipped with the X15N. Participating carriers will be able to fuel at Clean Energy’s network of RNG stations nationwide, showcasing the ease of integrating low-carbon fueling into their own fleet operations.

The Cummins X15N engine is designed to run on RNG – a biogenic fuel derived from organic waste such as dairy manure. It offers a powerful, reliable, cleaner alternative to diesel, and fleets fueling with RNG can reduce emissions by more than 300 percent, achieving negative carbon-intensity results, while spending less per gallon of fuel.

The X15N is quickly earning a reputation for performance and sustainability, with major carriers including Walmart, Amazon, UPS, FedEx, Werner, Knight Swift, Food Express, Cemex and Mullen Group having placed orders for the new engine.

The demo truck will travel through key freight corridors in California, Texas, Arizona, Illinois, Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Florida, and other states, allowing large and mid-sized fleets to try and test the engine’s capabilities in real-world conditions. The program is expected to run through 2028 or longer, as demand and interest continue to grow.

Newport Beach, Calif. – September 16, 2025 – Clean Energy Fuels Corp. (NASDAQ: CLNE) has announced it has broken ground on three renewable natural gas (RNG) production facilities under its development agreement with Maas Energy Works. These projects span six dairies located in South Dakota, Georgia, Florida and New Mexico, and are expected to produce approximately three million gallons of RNG annually once fully operational.

Capturing methane from a combined herd of 24,300 dairy cows, preventing harmful emissions from entering the atmosphere, the RNG produced will be used to power heavy-duty trucking, transit and vocational fleets nationwide – providing a reliable supply of negative-carbon fuel to Clean Energy’s network of over 600 stations.

“Partnering with an industry leader like Maas Energy Works on these projects will enable us to quickly bring meaningful volumes of ultraclean fuel to the transportation market,” said Clay Corbus, senior vice president of renewables at Clean Energy. “We’re seeing rising demand for RNG from fleets looking to decarbonize, and breaking ground on these production facilities is a significant step forward in meeting that need.”

Maas Energy Works brings a unique approach to RNG production through its covered lagoon system. Unlike traditional anaerobic digester tanks which are more costly to build and operate, Maas Energy’s method involves capturing methane from manure stored in large, tarp covered lagoon digesters. This technique offers a cost-effective and efficient alternative for manure collection and RNG production.

Clean Energy has elected to move forward with three RNG projects with Maas Energy Works after finalizing diligence. All demonstrating strong economic viability, the projects are forecasted to cost $80 million and are on track for completion in 2026.

Clean Energy still has the rights to develop the other remaining projects at a later date as market conditions and project economics evolve.

Agriculture accounts for nearly 10 percent of U.S. GHG emissions and the transportation sector accounts for another 28%, according to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Capturing methane from farm waste lowers these emissions. RNG, produced by that captured methane and used as a transportation fuel, significantly lowers GHG emissions on a lifecycle basis when compared to diesel. This allows RNG to be one of the only fuels to receive a negative carbon-intensity score based on the reduction of emissions at the source and at the vehicle.
